The VMAs were back for another drama-filled edition, and boy, the show did not disappoint.
Forget the Grammys, the VMAs have long been the pinnacle of pop culture…in both good ways and bad. An awards show that’s no stranger to controversy, it’s what happens during these few hours that people will talk about for years to come. From Lil Kim’s left tit popping out to drunk Kanye stealing the Taylor Swift’s spotlight, there’s never a shortage of WTF moments when it comes to the VMAs.
For those of you who missed out on the most important awards show on the planet, or for some of you that have some weird nostalgia to relive the whole night, don’t worry we got your back.
Here’s a recap of the best and worst of the 2015 VMAs … IHC-style.
So let’s go ahead and start with what was not so hot.
Maybe she’s getting some inspo from the The Hunger Games …but half the time we were left with blank “WTF???” faces.
Miley may just be some alien from the future with fashion sense so sophisticated that we may never be able to comprehend.
And more importantly…
THEY CUT HER MIC OFF. AMERICA NEEDS TO KNOW WHAT ELSE SHE SAID.
You know it’s a shitshow when resident Twitter-beef expert Azealia Banks calls you out.
ITS A CONTEST OF THE BASICS.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s no other man on the planet that can make pink hair, a polka-dot shirt, and a leather moto jacket sexy like Jared Leto. But with that being said, that was pretty goddamn awkward.
You know you fucked up when Iggy Azalea wasn’t even the worst part of your performance… After hopping into the crowd on a blow-up raft Steve Aoki-style to end her set, security wouldn’t even let the fans near her, making for one pathetic mosh pit.
But, even with all the shit-ness, some pretty dope stuff happened Sunday night too.
And the results were hilarious.

Abel always kills his live performances and this was no exception. After years of building a loyal fanbase, The Weeknd had his breakout performance at the VMA’s. Expect a million babies to have the same birthday in 9 months.
Miley capped off the night in its closing seconds by announcing her album Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz was streaming online for free (my favorite word).
And it’s surprisingly pretty decent.
And of course, the highlight of the night. Kanye is running for president. Bernie Sanders? Hillary Clinton? They ain’t got shit on ‘Ye.
Yeezy season is going presidential.
We may have this guy to thank for this revelation. Foreshadowing? Or persuasion? Life’s biggest mystery continues…

And if running for president doesn’t work out, stand-up would be a great Plan B.
If you’re 21 and people are saying you’re making a comeback at 21… you know you’ve really been fucking up. Props to the Biebs though, shit if Chris Brown can make a comeback, I’m pretty sure we can throw Justin Bieber a bone.
Even with a time delay, the producers of the show were no match for Miley Cyrus, the “Free The Nipple” activist, as ultimately, Miley Cyrus always has the last laugh.
