Theophilus London is back. Although it’s been two years since the release of his last full album, “Times are Weird These Dayz”, the BK-based, Trinidadian singer/rapper is still making hits. In the interim, Theophilus has been working with Kanye West, executive producer of the project, on his new album titled “Vibes!” . West also appears as a guest on the project in the standout track, “Can’t Stop”. Other acts that London has recruited on the album include Jesse Boykins III, Dev Hynes (aka Blood Orange), Leon Ware and Soko. The uniqueness of London’s previous work stems from his experimental use of a wide variety of styles, including 80’s synths, dance hall rhythms, r&b, and rap. Thankfully, “Vibes!” is no different. In true Theo-style, the project includes a little taste of everything and takes on a rare vibe of its own.
