Bass virtuoso Stephen Bruner, known to the world as Thundercat, has a rich musical history that is almost too random to believe. From touring with jazz legend Stanley Clarke as a teenager to filling in bass duties for Suicidal Tendencies, all the way to becoming a session player for Erykah Badu and Flying Lotus, Thundercat is showing no signs of slowing down. The release of his fantastic second LP, Apocalypse, has led Bruner much praise leading up to his recent performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Watch below as Thundercat performs alongside The Roots on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. If you’ve been paying attention to all these huge announcements we’ve been making, you may recall that on December 5th bass virtuoso Thundercat will be joining us for an intimate engagement at the Echoplex. Be sure to get your tickets early as these will go fast, and make sure to pick up a copy of Apocalypse, so you can dial in the vibe. Apocalypse is available now on Brainfeeder.
