Back to the Top is beautifully composed reminiscient of those 80’s slow intro ballads that endure the test of time. It was recorded in Los Angeles at Hollywood Forever Cemetery & Studio Zapata Zabala with longtime Twin Shadow musical cohort Wynne Bennet. A grand piano introduces the powerful and uplifting melody accompanied by the choral call to arms by George. The unification of synths, drums, and a well timed tambourine bring this song “Back To The Top.” Leaving us with a joyful handclap, it’s clear Twin Shadow has much more in store for his upcoming album set to release later this year on 4AD.
