This week in videos, everything is funny. I don’t know if it’s because the spirit of 4/20 has seeped into the internet or because the spring weather has made collective mankind giddy with the prospect of springtime mating rituals, but either way, all the videos this week made me crack a half-dead smile. Except for maybe one, but the glee from the others balanced it out so it’s cool.
We’ve got a Batman spoof, which is the best kind of spoof because Batman is so fucking emo all the time, a JASH-produced Run the Jewels video, some kid dabbing more than anyone has ever dabbed and most importantly, the trailer for Neighbors 2, which also features weed. A definite contender for Oscar season. AND MORE.

1. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Spoof
I really have no idea what’s going on in here, but it involves splashing water, intense staring and a homoerotic bond of brotherhood that just won’t quit. Honestly I wish the actual movie were more like this …
2. Run The Jewels – “Love Again” (feat. Gangsta Boo)
I am so burnt out on rap videos featuring slow-mo twerking and shiny club scenes that I practically died of joy when I saw this video for Run The Jewel‘s “Love Again,” which makes fun of wanton sexuality by using dripping wet stamens, rock-hard pistils and horny pollinating insects as a metaphor for the peena and the vageena. Jajajaja.
It’s produced by JASH, which is Tim & Eric, Michael Cera and Reggie Watts’ internet production company, which just about explains it.

4. Marvel’s Dr. Strange trailer
Real Name? Stephen Vincent Strange. Height? 6’2 1/2″. Weight? 180 lbs. Powers? Being the most powerful sorcerer on Earth.
I’m talking of course about Dr. Strange, Marvel’s wizard sweetheart who at one point was in the Avengers but then dipped out, probably to work on his DJ career and network with industry people.
Like all comic books that ever existed, Dr. Strange is being made into a movie. Benedict Cumberbatch stars as the man himself as he treks to Nepal after being involved in an accident. There he finds bald Tilda Swinton, and she teaches him a whole bunch of useful life skills that make him a magic man.
There’s also glimpses of Mads Mikkelsen’s villain, Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Baron Mordo, and various “Inception”-like reality-bending scenes including whole cities being turned inside out. Okay.
5. Leon Vynehall – “Blush”
This lush, eight-minute beauty from Leon Vynehall was inspired by a National Geographic documentary on bird-of-paradise courtship rituals. It’s not that funny unless you find plumage entertaining, but it has a humid, verdant vibe and also looks like what you see when you robotrip in Borneo.

6. Neighbors 2 trailer
