Last night, Stones Throw, IHEARTCOMIX, and Beats by Dre joined forces to celebrate the premiere of Washed Out‘s brand new visual album, “The Mister Mellow Show”. The 35 minute short film features tons of innovative stop motion, claymation, and a hilarious interview segment with SNL’s Kyle Mooney. Much like a good acid trip – it entertained us, made us laugh, warmed our hearts, and amazed us with its visuals.

We started the night by taking over the iconic Vista Theatre in Los Angeles. Not only did fans get to watch the film for free, but they also experienced a DJ set from the legendary Peanut Butter Wolf, ate free popcorn in specially made Mister Mellow popcorn bags, received free Washed Out posters, and enjoyed an open bar stocked with Deep Eddy Vodka and Coedo Beer.

After the screening, we moved the party over to El Cid for a secret VIP after party where Washed Out and Peanut Butter Wolf spun vinyl until 2 am. It was a blast! Washed Out’s “Mister Mellow” album hits stores Friday, June 30th.
