IHEARTCOMIX partnered with Brainfeeder Films to produce the event for the premiere of Flying Lotus’ film KUSO at Sundance
For the Sundance premiere of Flying Lotus’ first original film KUSO, Brainfeeder Films partnered with IHC to produce the event for the movie and a series of screenings showcasing their shorts.
Taking place the first weekend of the Sundance Film Festival, the film event brought the gross world of the movie to life. The audience entered the event through an ‘ass tunnel’. Once inside, guests were treated to an animated photo booth featuring the characters Kazu and Mazu. Actual set pieces and props from the film were brought in to decorate the main room. The party featured performances from Thundercat, Kenny Loggins, George Clinton, Busdriver, PBDY, Buttress and Flying Lotus himself.
IHC’s roles included overseeing all production of the event, creative direction, venue scouting, leading local marketing efforts and handling national PR outreach.
