Space Jam: A New Legacy

Warner Bros. tapped IHEARTCOMIX to utilize our expertise in cultural programming, influencer relations and production to execute multiple experiential marketing initiatives for the theatrical release of the much-anticipated Space Jam: A New Legacy. 

To excite fans of all ages and drive people to the box office, IHEARTCOMIX partnered with Warner Bros. on three major bi-coastal activations. These included a NYC Court Tune Up & Block Party, LA Consumer Experience and Premiere Programming, and influencer outreach for the Six Flags VIP Night.

NYC Court Tune Up & Block Party

Warner Bros. and IHC scouted and located a court in East Harlem that had previously applied for Federal funding (and had been denied for years). Sitting in an unplayable state for over 15 years, we’re now in the midst of completing a full refurbishment to give back to this community.

To celebrate the efforts and engage both Space Jam and life-long basketball fans, we hosted a vibrant, looney Block Party. Thoughtful basketball, art and music programming — not to mention special giveaways and lots of surprises — tailored to fans and families of all ages excited the crowd while staying true to the Harlem neighborhood. 

Our Block Party opened to the community with a press briefing featuring Manhattan Deputy Borough President Matthew Washington and Space Jam Director Malcolm D. Lee, leading into an evening of basketball programming, music and giveaways.

Los Angeles Consumer Experience and Premiere Programming

In addition to the Looney times in NYC, IHC added basketball talent and music expertise to the Xbox Plaza Activations, adding an engaging element to both the consumer experience and the premiere. By bringing out a full squad of Venice Ballers with deep Harlem Globetrotter ties, our crew brought high-flying action to the Space Jam court and further excited guests with surprise giveaways in reward for participating. 

The Divas & Drummers of Compton upped the ante with their performances on the stage and down the purple carpet to open the premiere, providing a can’t-miss moment for press and guests.   

Six Flags VIP Night Influencer Outreach

IHC also provided influencer outreach and attendance support to the Six Flags VIP Night on Tuesday, June 29th, 2021. IHC dug deep into our rolodex and invited over 800+ celebrity and influencer guests. Attendees had a collective 200 million + social reach.
