WeTransfer partnered with IHEARTCOMIX to realize the debut of How We Do: LA event series.
WeTransfer, the forward thinking Amsterdam-based file sharing service, opened an office in Los Angeles in 2016. As part of their continuing partnership with the Ace Hotel, WeTransfer decided to celebrate their new office and show their continued support for the arts with the event series: How We Do.
WeTransfer enlisted IHEARTCOMIX as a partner in building and defining what How We Do would ultimately be. Curated by Gilles Peterson, the new creative director at WeTransfer and a near-legendary British BBC 6 DJ, the sold-out show featured performances from The Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Ensemble, BADBADNOTGOOD, Kamasi Washington, George Clinton, Gaslamp Killer and many more. The event was preceded by a private, VIP session for 100 selects to participate in pre-show programming.
IHC’s roles included overseeing the entire production of the event, booking talent, leading local marketing efforts and handling national PR outreach.
