Aussie duo Wunder Wunder channels the dreamadelic influence of Fleetwood Mac’s infused guitars blended with psych-pop steel drums in their new single Midnight Hours off of their upcoming LP on Dovecote Records. Their recent move to L.A. has creeped into this Summer jam with some reverbed, spacey-surf rock and waves of rolling, arpeggiated synths that culminates into West Coast Caribbean Pop. Aaron Shanahan and Benjamin Plant give Wunder Wunder an expansive, mellow space-folk aura with lush guitar and drums taking the main stage over the dance and pop disco at the forefront of Plant’s other project Miami Horror. A lo-fi longing for the “midnight hours” (which maybe the loneliest or most exciting part of the night) manifest vocal melodies that are reminiscent of Stevie Nicks with a touch of Slowdive. Their Everything Infinite LP comes out July 15th and you can catch them live at The Echo with Cymbals on July 22nd.
