Today, Los Angeles power trio Zig Zags released their self-titled debut LP, recorded at Ty Segall’s Sweat Lodge studio and released via In The Red Records. Guitarist Jed, bassist Patrick, and drummer Bobby started in a room lit by a single green light, which changed them from humans to Zig Zags in the summer of 2010. Since then they’ve been busy adapting their hard rocking show for the stage, playing local L.A. venues while building a ferveant fan base. We’ve been teased in the weeks leading up to the release of the new LP, with a new video So Stoned plus interviews with Noisey and Pitchfork. Now that their music is available for the entire world to hear we expect the Zigs Zags to be well on their way. You can catch them live at the Echoplex here in L.A. playing alongside Bleached before departing on a national tour with Ex-Cult this fall. Stream their new album below and check out their tour dates after the jump!
