After the solar eclipse yesterday, I saw so many posts on social media about aliens and weird things that supposedly happened because of the celestial phenomenon. It got me all excited for Halloween. Although it’s a month away, the horror connoisseur inside of me is already getting ready for October. In honor of this, I rounded up a few spooky sci-fi inspired videos for this week featuring the latest from Xenoula, Bus Vipers, Son Lux, and more.

1. Xenoula – “Chief Of Tin”:

From a gooey alien pod in the woods emerges a scavenger.  All earthy and echoey sounds for Xenoula’s video for “Chief Of Tin.” I honestly tried to hold my breath for as long as a could for each water scene.

2. Bus Vipers – “Fluid”:

Bus Vipers take skinny dipping to the next level in their video for “Fluid.” Definitely vibing with their mystical forest feels, endless green hills, and Hawaiian Punch waters. The Blue Man Group better step up their game.

3. Son Lux – “Dangerous”:

I’m getting some War of the Worlds vibes from Son Lux’s video for “Dangerous”.  Those drums and rush of violins would be the perfect soundtrack for a horror movie.

4. Triggerfinger – “Colossus”:

Triggerfinger’s video for “Colossus” is like a peek into what goes on in my head on a daily basis. Catch a few of my fave imaginary characters in there like Frankenstein, Creature from the Black Lagoon, and Godzilla. Oh, and buff E.T.

5. Lifestyle – “Nye”:

In love with the cotton candy colors in Lifestyle’s video for “Nye”. You can’t go wrong with mellow beats, psychedelic sounds, and flying whales.

6. Kirin J Callinan – “Big Enough” ft. Alex Cameron, Molly Lewis, Jimmy Barnes:

I had to include Kirin J Callinan’s video for “Big Enough” in this bunch. The screaming cowboy in the sky DEFINITELY took me by surprise in this one. I couldn’t stop laughing. Imagine waking up to that every morning.

7. GoldLink – “Meditation” ft. Jazmine Sullivan, KAYTRANADA:

I love the neon aesthetic in GoldLink’s video for “Meditation”. Everybody dancing and feelin’ the song in the club makes me wanna dance right now.

8. Little Evil:

This trailer for Little Evil features two of my favorites genres, horror and comedy, combined into one! I think scary needs a twist once in awhile.
