Time is running out; not just on the microwave timer which signals the tantalizing countdown until your Bagel Bites are ready, but also to vote on amazing tracks talented producers have made using our Converse + IHEARTCOMIX Sample Pack.

A few weeks back we unleashed this stacked sample pack onto the world, allowing the public unprecedented access to over 1,000 samples from our recording session at the Big Orange pop-up studio at SXSW in Austin.

Together along with Heems, Gavin Turek, Pictureplane and Mark Redito (fka Spazzkid), we experimented with the space’s vast array of gear including the charmingly punchy Maestro Rhythm King Drum Machine and a pristine 1973 Minimoog Model D synthesizer to create over 1,000 unique, highly exclusive samples for artists to use in their own work.

The response was huge. Hundreds of people have submitted their own original tracks using those samples, and now it’s time for you, the educated and tasteful listener, to vote on the best of these. Democracy! That’s how that works.

Using the top tracks voted on by listeners like you, our panel of talented and achingly attractive judges will select the 10 best tracks, ultimately narrowing down the contestants down to just three winners.

The Grand Prize winner will win $1,000, the original IHEARTCOMIX Sample Session artwork signed by the artists themselves, a $200 gift card to Converse and prominent feature on Indaba’s social platforms. But … there can only be one.
