We just got back from partying in a school bus at San Diego Comic Con 2016, which is basically Christmas in July in our book. Much like Christmas, SDCC gives you lots of presents… in the form of amazing trailers. If you weren’t able to make the trek out to San Diego this weekend, we gathered five of our favorite trailers that debuted at Comic Con just for you!
1. Wonder Woman
We first met this version of Wonder Woman in the recent Batman v Superman film. Although that film was pretty awful and barely made sense, Gal Godot’s portrayal of Wonder Woman was the silver lining. Now, we get to see some of Wonder Woman’s backstory that we haven’t seen in previous iterations. This time, she fights in World War I, doing badass stunts all while somehow still wearing high heels.
2. Dr. Strange
Dr. Strange is probably the film I’m most excited to see in 2017. I mean, come on, just look at those shots of the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) creating a kaleidoscopic force field around Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and those shots of New York being folded into itself. This movie looks absolutely mind-blowing. It’s the first film exploration of the mystical part of the Marvel universe.
3. Walking Dead
Spoiler alert, this Walking Dead trailer is in large part, an overarching story summary. If you’re trying to catch up with the series and aren’t a fan of spoilers, I would recommend skipping this trailer. We essentially get a brief overview of just about everyone who has been knocked-off by Negan. According to some YouTube comments, the flashbacks are supposed to be in chronological order of who Rick Grimes has met throughout the show. Regardless, it’s an interesting way to tease a new season and the trailer ends with a montage of new scenes involving some new and old characters.
4. Luke Cage
Luke Cage is a certified bad ass. Netflix revealed this entertaining trailer at Comic Con last week, and we were immediately ready for more. As WuTang plays softly in the background, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) casually strolls through a building, beating up bad guys left and right. Following the original story, after a sabotaged lab experiment, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive on the streets of Harlem, New York. With his newfound super strength and impenetrable armor for skin, Luke Cage is forced to rebuild his life in the heart of the city, while confronting the troubles of a looming past.

5. Justice League
This is the first look that we get at the Justice League film, and it already looks awesome. The trailer focuses on Bruce Wayne recruiting The Flash, but we also get to see our pals Cyborg, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman in action. No appearances by Superman yet, though. Also, the fact that there is a Rick and Morty easter egg in the background of one of the scenes makes me like this movie even more.
